Dear Families, Students, Community Partners, and Neighbors,

I am excited to share an important initiative that will have a transformative impact on the future of our students, families, and the broader Tehama County community: the implementation of the California Community Schools Partnership Program. This effort represents a significant step forward in bridging the gap between the wealth of resources available in our county and the needs of our school-aged children and their families.

Through this initiative, our goal is to ensure that students are not only supported academically but also provided with the resources and services necessary to thrive holistically. By connecting our schools with community partners, we aim to increase student and family engagement, improve attendance rates, and foster healthier long-term outcomes such as career-readiness, mental health support, and easier access to critical services as students transition into adulthood.

The Community Schools model is built on strong partnerships. We are fortunate to collaborate with a range of dedicated local organizations, including the Tehama County Health Services Agency, Empower Tehama, Expect More Tehama, First 5, SERRF, the Job Training Center, and Bridge to College and Career, among others. Together, these partnerships will create a comprehensive support network that addresses not only educational needs but also the social, emotional, and physical well-being of our students.

This collaborative effort will not only benefit our students but also create a stronger, more resilient community by fostering deeper connections between families, schools, and local organizations. By addressing barriers to learning and providing resources that enhance student well-being, we are confident that the implementation of Community Schools will result in a positive and lasting impact.
